KNOW THYSELF
~ It seems the greatest knowledge we can attain is that of oneself ~
There's a tremendous amount of people doing anything they can to avoid themselves. The world makes it easy to escape from the self with entertainment that leaves you empty, programmed to be a slave to the system and most tragically, someone other than self.
Sports, liquor, drugs, porn, social media and television are all avoidance mechanisms to ignore the self and as Alan Moore has stated, "many have the urge to obliterate themselves."
Coming face to face with the magnitude of self, being a creator and a part of source, makes us realize the amount of responsibility we have. It can be understood why so many choose to not accept they are far greater than a mere mortal born to dredge through life until death.
The responsibility we have as creators can also make life quite an adventure. It takes dreams and fantasies from being nothing but hopes and wishes and gives them potential to be actualized as real-world experiences.
First, we have to get to know ourselves and this means all of the shades from light to dark with pure honesty. Sometimes this causes what is called a dark night of the soul because we've never looked so deep in the mirror.
It's wise to not be afraid of the dark, embrace it as the dark preceded the light.
Our world is inverted which made the power of being a 'dark' worker occulted and replaced with the new age concept that being a 'light' worker should be all that's sought after.
False light has represented itself as holy and good, where the balance of dark and light has been overshadowed.
When a narrative is trendy, accepted by the masses causing them to jump on the bandwagon and identify with the trend, don't jump.
Without darkness, there isn't any light. Without light, there wouldn't be any shadow.
It's balance.
Culture wants us to conform, fit in a niche box designated for your age, color, size, gender, religion or skill. We are bombarded with seasonal trending fashion and what is required to look the part being sold by slick marketers and social engineers all steering us away from self.
The many cliques all dressing, speaking, acting and believing what their robotic brand requires for membership. It's so much easier to be an imitation than the self.
You'll never be fulfilled obliterating self with cheap imitation.
In spiritual cliques, the idea we are *all one* does the same damage to the individual soul or self. Spiritual teachers and gurus share their message of enlightenment to people seeking deeper connection to soul, and instead they get the same psychic operators steering followers away from self and into collectivism.
It's good business to have a flock who depend on you for their spiritual journey.
People do anything they can to avoid self.
There is a way to help the introduction to self if you are wanting to find who you truly are:
Meditate.
Be with you, alone and listen.
All the outside noises and chatter you'll hear when alone with self are not you.
Who are you?
* The mystery worth seeking is self
